Every screen in Cyberly cut out last night and came back with the same offer. Nobody will say who paid for it.
Every television, billboard and 404 FM frequency in Cyberly went dark at 8pm, then lit back up with one advert.
No logo. No name. No address you could check. Just a confident voice and a single offer: “WANTED: ONE DRAGON EGG. GENEROUS PAYMENT. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.”
The reward, the advert promised, would be paid in cash to anyone delivering a dragon egg, any dragon egg, to a place given only “on arrangement.” Thrown in were unlimited biscuits, premium dragon snacks, a commemorative mug, and lifetime membership to a tearoom called Mysterious Brews.
It ended with four words in large, friendly letters: DEFINITELY NOT PLANNING ANYTHING.
Nobody has claimed it. 404 FM says its systems were “borrowed without asking.” Several viewers said the voice sounded familiar, one noting it had “a real Supreme Leader quality to it,” though none could quite place it.
